What this site collects, what it does not, and who hosts it.
What this site is
RatingsReference.com is a reference site operated by HeyTC, LLC. It publishes audience figures for US sports telecasts that were already published elsewhere, with their sources. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, no comments, and nothing to buy.
What we collect
- Reading the site. Reading pages sends us no form data and sets no cookie.
- Report an error. The form's fields (page address, record id, the field you are reporting, a source link, notes, and an optional reply-to email) are stored in the site's database and sent to the site owner as an email. The site fetches the source link you give to check it. The reply-to address is used only to answer that report.
- Submit a figure. The form's fields (the public source link, your email, and an optional organization) are stored in the site's database. The site fetches the source link to check it. The email is used only to reply about that submission.
- Abuse limits. Each stored report or submission carries a one-way hash of the connecting IP address, used only to cap how many one address can send in a day. The IP address itself is not stored.
- How long. A report or submission is kept until it has been processed, and deleted 90 days after it was received once processed. Emails the owner received are kept in the owner's mailbox.
- Visit counts. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless script that counts page views in aggregate. It does not set cookies or build a profile of you.
- Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare handles each request and may record the requesting IP address, the page requested, and browser details in its own operational logs under its own privacy policy. We run no advertising tags or tracking pixels.
Third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores the published record and the reports and submissions above, provides Web Analytics, and provides the Turnstile check on the Report and Submit forms. Turnstile may inspect the request to decide whether it comes from a person.
- Fonts are served from this site; your browser makes no request to a font provider.
- Outbound links. Every figure links to the page that published it. Those sites have their own policies.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data. We do not build profiles. We do not serve advertising. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
